A doctor with an established practice will receive over 100 messages a day. Practice staff will spend an average of five minutes recording the message, ensuring the doctor receives the message, recording the response and updating a Patient Record. Without counting the time on the phone, this translates to over 160 hours of staff time per month. The Altair Message Manager can cut that time in half!


Overview
Altair's Message Manager eliminates the need for paper messages and the labor associated with updating a Patient Record.

When a message is entered into the application it immediately updates the master database and executes the rules that the Provider has set for messages based on the type of message and its priority. From that point on automated procedures will check every sixty seconds to see if the message has been properly handled. If necessary the automated procedures will automatically excecute escalation procedures as defined in the rules.

Messages are automatically delivered to Provider via desktop and wireless devices as well as to the website for mobile practitioners with Pocket PCs or SmartPhones.
